GLUTEN FREE FAQs

1) Are all of your products gluten-free?

Yes, everything on the menu is free from wheat, barley, rye and oats. Feel free to check out our online cake shop!

2) What ingredients do you use in your products?

We use a flour blend consiting of maize flour, rice flour, tapioca starch, potato starch and xanthum gum as a stabiliser. For our crumble toppings we create our own using gluten-free oats. Our cake decoration ingredients (sprinkles, edible pearls etc) are all free from wheat starch also.

3) Is your kitchen safe from cross-contamination?

Absolutely. As Christina is a diagnosed coeliac, she only stocks gluten-free products in her kitchen, therefore making it a "coeliac-friendly zone" and 100% free from cross contamination.

4) Do you have products suitable for dairy free and vegan?

Have a look at our Cake Shop under "Dairy Free and Vegan" section to see a selection of cupcakes and sponge cakes we can make vegan friendly. We use dairy-free butter and egg replacement products in our cakes.

5) Do you supply your cakes to cafes?

We supply some sponge cakes and caramel shortbread to West End Games board game cafe at Woodlands Road, Glasgow on a weekly basis. We also supply Settlers board game cafe at Castle Street, Hamilton some sponge cakes on a weekly basis also.

6) I'm looking for a cake but I don't need it gluten free, do you make normal cakes too?

Unfortunately, to keep the kitchen free from cross contamination, we only make cakes using ingredients that are free from gluten, with the occasional addition of gluten products to decorate cakes with (ferrero rochers, maltesers etc) but these are handled with gloves, outside of the kitchen and when the cake is placed is already placed in its box.

We have had many customers ordering our cakes, despite them being gluten free, and have not noticed the difference! Check out our Facebook Reviews to see some of our customer feedback.
